There is a story going around about Isabel Borres and her “immersion experiences” with an Aeta community. Reynz an many others wrote about it. This is indeed a very hot topic at the moment!

Hindi sa sinasakyan ko ang nagbabagang usapan na ito. It is just that the behaviour of this stupid spoiled brat reminds me of some incidents I witnessed before. The Tracy Isabel Borres in us or better to say the bad in us. Hindi lang kasi si Isabel ang umaarte ng ganyan, I find that even matured educated people are acting in a totally irrational manner.

When I was in Davao, I met a group of Balikbayan from Germany during the Caracoles Festival in Samal Island last May. With them are their husbands. Matagal bago nagsimula ang naturang programa nang festival kaya napagpasyahan kong kumain muna kami nang aking mga anak. Yong table ng mga balikbayan ang may bakante pa kaya I asked them if we can join. Umoo naman sila kaya ayon nagtake a sit na ang Tita Poorshya niyo and my two makulets. A waitress came after a few minutes and so we ordered our food. Habang naghintay sa pagkain nakipagkuwentuhan muna siyempre ako sa mga nakaupo doon. Small talk lang baga like: saan ka sa Germany, ilang taon ka na doon, anak mo ba ang mga yan, saan ang asawa mo at iba pa. I learned from them na doon na pala sila sa Samal nakatira. Pensionado na siyempre ang kanilang mga jowa kaya they can afford to stay there for good and build a mala palasyong bahay. One of the German guy told me that he felt like a king daw doon. Kibir ko ba, hindi naman ako interesado kong anong pakiramdam niya. Gutom ang naramdaman ko kaya I was getting impatient na dahil ang tagal dumating nang pagkain. Nakulele pati ako sa kayabangan nang aming ka-table. Heneweys, I was so grateful talaga as our food was served. I was also hoping they will leave me alone habang ako ay lumalafang. Teach kasi nang mader ko when I was a kid na huwag magkuwentuhan habang kumakain.

Sorry pero da makuwentong grupo did not refrain from talking. Me full mouth and no choice than to tango nalang nang tango. Maya-maya, a Badjao kid approached our table at naupo sa isang bakanteng silya. The self-proclaimed donyas were aghast at ipinagtabuyan ang bata. They uttered the same words Tracy Isabel Borres spoke on her Fisbuk blog. Kadiri kid, mabaho, madungis and etcetera. At kesyo ang mga Badjao daw ay parang peste, sila daw ay nakakasira nang view sa Davao at kong ano-ano pang salita na nakakapanting sa tenga. Holy cow!!!

I did not say anything, basta’t kinawayan ko ang waitress and asked her to bring extra plate and kubyertos for the kid. The child was obviously hungry. It was also obvious na hindi nagustuhan nang mga ka-table namin ang ginawa ko dahil bigla nalang silang umalis without saying a word. Si Kathleen nga na dito lumaki at sanay sa lifestyle dito ay naawa din sa bata. Ibinigay pa niya ang Coke na nasa backpack niya pati pa ang souvenir t-shirt na kabibili lang namin. Ano at sino ba silang umasta nang ganun? Marami sa atin ang ala Tracy Isabel. Mga ignoranteng matapobre dahil lang nakaangat or umangat. What a shame!

How true, how true…

People are blinded by money. People are blinded by power. People are blinded by pleasure.
People who are blinded by their own pursuits and pleasures are blinded about the reality.
People who put their desires ahead of everything are “spiritually blind”.

Kita niyo? The group I mentioned is only one of the good example. And this kind of incident happens everyday I think at hindi lang during “immersion”. Maraming Tracy na kababayan natin ang nagkalat sa mundo at nasa mismong bayan natin. Sana naman we should not forget who we are or where our families started. Don’t forget those who made you and where you come from. Kasabot?

Bisaya nga ako, may reklamo?

Gusto ko sanang sumulat nang nakakatawa. Pero di ko siya feel ngayon, kaya medyo ranting at bitching topic ang bumabagay sa gloomy feeling ko today kasabay sa gloomy din na weather dito.

Our topic of today class…is about Bisaya. Para sa mga tega northern part of our country, FROM DI ka (from the province) if you are a native Bisaya speaker. Hehehehe, eksperyens ko yan when I was in college (Manila). Tingin nila, I was lower than them dahil nga Bisaya eh. Pero dahil ako ay palaban, hindi umubra ang pang mamata nila sa aken. At lalong wa epek sa akin nang may nagsabi nito: “Tega Davao ka pala? Dinig ko marami daw mamamatay tao doon”. I raised my left brow and replied: “Yes, isa sa kanila ay kaharap mo!”. You may believe me or not, tumahimik ang mundo ko matapos kong sabihin yon.

Hindi lahat nang mga Bisayang katulad ko ang may lakas loob na sumagot. Some if not many, felt intimidated kaya madalas nilang tinatago ang tunay nilang background. Kagaya nang mga na-meet kong mga kababayan natin. Yong isa ay nakilala ko sa isang party noong araw sa Freiburg. She was the first who asked me kong tega saan daw ako sa Pinas. I said I am from Davao and she said she’s from Cebu pero hindi na daw siya marunong mag Bisaya dahil super tagal daw silang tumira sa Maynila. It could be true…kaso lang ang intonation nang kanyang pagsalita nang Tagalog is soo Bisaya. Alam niyo na…Bisaya matigas ang dila. Well anyways, few minutes later…may iba pang mga bisitang dumating. That lady tagalang hilaw approached the newly arrived guests. Ayon nagbeso-beso sila at bumanat na nang kuwento itong si Ms. Hilaw. She was talking in Bisaya!!! Kakasabi niya lang sa akin na hindi na siya marunong and all of a sudden…nag Bisaya siya? Ngeekk what a fake.

Just recently may na-meet ako ditong Pinay. Nagtagalog siya siyempre, madali lang ang usapan namin dahil may lakad pa akong iba. The next time we met, ayon binanatan niya na ako nang kuwento na tega Cebu nga siya and that hindi na siya marunong magbisaya dahil doon na sila tumira sa Maynila etc. etc. etc. Ilang beses ko nang narinig ang ganyang tell-tale, it’s getting tiresome na ha. I was annoyed na talaga pero pinagbigyan ko pa rin. In between her blahs…medyo nagkandahirap na siyang magtagalog. Kaya I told her na: “Oy alam mo, mabuti pang magbisaya nalang tayo para hindi ka na mahihirapan pa.”

The bottom line of the story is that one should be honest and true to oneself, to avoid embarrassment or awkward situation.

Why pretend to be someone you’re not? Are you afraid that people might belittle you? Or are you ashamed of your roots? Eh ano ngayon kong Bisaya? Ano ba ang dapat diyan ikahiya? Wala!

Concerning the people naman na mahilig mangutya sa mga Bisaya. I think they are brainless that’s why they do that…pangungutya sa kapwa.

I am a Filipina, a Bisaya one and I am proud of it. O ano, may reklamo?

The Gala(an) and Who's Who Night in Freiburg

Life has been busy lately, but things are starting to settle down – just in time for me to attend the Charity Gala last Friday, October 31, in Freiburg (organized by my kumare and best friend Jojo). But long before the said Gala, I was sure I could not attend dahil nga busy kami sa clinic and the event was scheduled on a working day. And besides, Freiburg is 735.75 kilometers away from our place. Kahit gustuhin ko man hindi pa rin ako makating on time dahil almost seven hours ang biyahe by car. Last Tuesday, October 28, nagtaka kaming mag-asawa kong bakit walang pasiyenteng naka schedule for Friday. We asked our med. secretary why and she told us that its a holiday, the Reformation Day to be exact. It is the day on which in 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, criticizing certain aspects of the Catholic Church and thus starting the Reformation in Germany.

Well anyways, natuloy din ako sa madaling salita. Hubby made it possible for me to travel but not by car but by plane. I flew from Schönefeld, Berlin to Basel, Switzerland and arrived on time in Freiburg for the Gala. There I met several familiar faces from good old days and people whom I did not expect na makakadalo doon like Mr. Andy Pador, the President of Bicol Varsitarian in Cologne. As usual, nadoon yong beso-beso at picture taking. Para baga kaming true celebrities (ngehehehe). But the real celebrity that evening was Archie or known as Matt Ranillo III with his lovely wife Linda Tupaz. He was invited to co-host the beauty contest show with Joyce. Joyce was a former fashion model in the Philippines and now an Ambassador’s wife. The Gala was successful and well attended.

It is a very long story mga kapatid kaya hindi ko nalang isulat ang mga detalye dito. I decided to let pictures speak for themselves this time, so that you can get your own impression.

It’s that time of year again when the long summer days are coming to an end, the kids are starting back to school and the feel of autumn is in the air. Yikes, I hate this part of the year. But well…all this can only mean one thing, Halloween is fast approaching.

We all know that Halloween is one of the most popular holidays – second only to Christmas. Every year, people are starting earlier in their preparations for the holiday. Yards are being spookily decorated and costume parties are more elaborate, and many families are starting their own Halloween traditions. Before you know it you’ll be visiting the pumpkin patches and going on haunted hayrides. But even before all that the most important question that every parent will hear from their child, “What should I be for Halloween”? Luckily, the choices of Halloween Costumes nowadays is amazing, lots of choices are available. My son for for sure likes to be Captain Hook this year.

So, let the fun begin! But to avoid shopping stress from numerous hair pulling trips going to every Halloween costume store, why not try to shop online? With the gas prices going higher faster than we can blink our eyes, online shipping has become an attractive alternative than going to our favorite stores in person. When shopping online, we all want perks to save some money right? Different stores has been offering free shipping for orders over $100, as an extra incentive for shoppers to buy from them online.

Noon pa man, kinaugalian na nating mga Pilipino ang magtapon ng basura kahit saan. Oo I admit ganyan din ako NOON, pero natuto na ako as I came to La Germania. Pero hindi natin kailangang mangibang bansa para matuto how to properly dispose garbage.

KATAMARAN AT UBOD WALANG RESPETO
Bakit ako naimbyerna to the max? Well, a couple of weeks ago binisita namin ni Kathleen ang isa pang housing lot na nabili namin (3 years ago) sa isang low cost subdivision. Binili namin ito para may iba pang option sakaling hindi namin mafford magpatayo ng bahay doon sa Villa de Mercedes. Anyway, the lot we purchased in Elenita Heights is a corner lot. As we were there, nakita kong may bahay na ang tabi namin and that they are dumping their garden waste sa aming poder. Gabundok na ang taas nito noh, so ibig sabihin matagal na nila itong ginagawa.

Hindi lang basura nang kapitbahay ang nagpataas ng aking presyon kundi pati na ang ginawa ng land developer. Tinambakan nila ng dalawang napakalaking imburnal at landfills ito, at ginawa pa nilang daanan nang truck at kong ano-ano pang construction vehicles. Nag-expand kasi sila sa likod ng aming area kaya daw ganun.

Sa inis ko, I called my husband and told him about it. Kaya din ako tumawag dahil ipinaalam ko sa kanya na papalagyan ko nang concrete fence ang aming area. Sumang-ayon si fader kaya tumawag kaagad ako sa engineer’s office ng Elenita Heights para sabihing alisin ang mga imburnal nila doon, i-level out ang ground at lagyan ng boundary stone. Ang sagot ba naman eh bakit daw? Me: Bakit? Una, dahil amin yan at pangalawa, wala kayong karapatan na gawing tambakan at daan ang aming lupa. You have NO permission to do that, period! Sagot: Opo maam we will do that right away.

After a couple of weeks (binigyan ko sila ng time allowance kaya ganyan katagal), I asked my brother to visit our area para tingnan kong nagawa na nga. The next day, he told me na wala pa daw. So I called the main office and asked the person I know na i-follow up niya ang request ko. Gush, can you imagine what she told me? I need a letter of request daw para doon sa pagpalevel ng ground. What the f%*k! So I said: Miss Engot I don’t think I need to write any letter of request for this matter since it is your people who dump the landfills. It is my right to ask you to remove everything from our property. Her answer: Okey I’ll tell the engineer encharge. Last Wednesday, pinapunta ko ulit brother ko to check if nagawa na ang request ko. Ang resulta: WALA PA RINNNN!!

Nag-isip tuloy ako kong ano ang dapat kong gawin para may mangyari? Kailangan ko kaya silang luhuran, bigyan ng pera or what? Bigyan ng pera? No way. Ano ako, hilo? I thought of doing the same thing what I did with PLDT (Why Is It So Complicated?). Ayon umupa si lola niyo ng isang sports car (wala ng ibang available eh), nakabihis ng sako at tumulak papuntang engineer’s office. Ngehehehe, ewan ko kong bakit kailangan ko pang magpa-impress to make them move their butts. The engineer was there at mismong siya ang nag-offer na gumawa ng plan and estimation at magsubmit sa city engineer’s office. Yon nga lang, I have to pay 6,000.00 pesoses mga kapamilya. Yan naman ang disadvantage kapag kuntudo pa-impress ka. Pero para sa akin ang importante ay magawa ang gusto kong gawin nila. Oo, I said money is not everything, but let me add, it is nice to have it. Lalong-lalo na sa ganitong sitwasyon.

Matapos kaming mag-usap, I took the chance to visit our property again to see if our neighbor is still dumping their garbage in our lot. Wow shock akesh sa nakita kong pagdami nito. Your lola decided tuloy na sugurin ang kapitbahay para personal na pagsabihan. Luckily nandoon ang maid at ang babaeng may-ari. They were wondering kong sino ang bruhang kaharap nila. So, nagpakilala ako and I told them that I am the owner of the neighboring lot. Here is our conversation:

Me: Misis, I am requesting you to stop dumping your garbage in our area.
Misis: Ha? Hindi ko alam yan ah.
Me: Would you be so kind to come with me so I can show it to you?

Mukhang may takot si misis saken kasi pinasama din niya ang maid niya. Itinuro ko sa kanila ang mga basura at ang traces nito sa pader. Traces na nagpapatunay na mula sa kanilang bakod itinapon ang mga dumi.

Misis: Sorry to disappoint you pero hindi ako ang nagtapon niyan.
Me: Hindi? Don’t tell me na kusang pumakabila ang mga buwisit na basura niyo diyan?
Misis: Itong maid ko siguro.

Sa maid nakatutok ang pansin ko ngayon.

Maid: Maam, hindi lang naman ako ang nagtatapon diyan.

Neighbors became curious kaya nagsilabasan ang mga ito sa kanilang lungga. Which was a big opportunity for me para bungangaan sila.

Me: Buti’t sinabi mo, pero ang point dito is nagtapon ka.
Maid: Pero mga basura lang naman po ng garden namin yan.
Me: Helloooo! Basura is basura…kahit mga damo at twigs lang yan hindi pa rin yan maaring itapon sa poder namin. Hindi namin binili ang lupang ito para baboyin ninyo. Nagkaintindhan ba tayo? No more dumping from now on orelse i-report ko kayo.

Then I looked around and said: Narinig niyo ang pinag-usapan namin di ba? Pero sasabihin ko sa inyo ulit na mula ngayon ay itigil niyo na ang pagdump niyo ng basura dito! And I left and mumured “mga bwisit, mga walang desiplina.”

I called the engineer while driving to hurry the fence permit so I can start the project. I told him about the dumping of basura incident and he just said na, talagang ganyan daw talaga. Sinabi ko sa kanya na hindi ako sang-ayon sa ganyang salita dahil hindi tega bundok at hindi non-educated ang mga naninirahan doon.

These are some basic truths of life, which present day man has failed to understand. Man suppresses his colleagues and marches forward stamping others behind. This depicts the raw brutal power of rational beings. Corruption is the major outcome of this mad race.

To live a life, the prerequisite is MONEY. It is of course true that life without money is not worth living but acquiring money by unfair means have made matters even more worse and critical. Money has left ‘fear’ to invade young minds thus leading to unexpected consequences. Why man forgets that he has come to earth empty handed and will go empty handed.

Money has steered man’s way towards the wrong channel and has set up wrong connections. He has started making ‘BLACK MONEY’ thereby disrupting the rapport that existed previously. The flowers blooming and blossoming depict that each flower enjoys the air it breathes. But Money did not spare Nature too. Man should establish cordial relations with nature and not entangle in knots of making money, I have the reason to lament on What Man has made of Man !!

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY has disrupted peace, harmony and understanding. It has made life superficial and materialistic and has paved the grounds for suffering and complication

Ask yourself, can money really buy the happiness that your heart truly desires?

Money is not everything. It is good to have it because we need it, but loving it makes it bad.

Ellumbranator Auf Der Jagd Nach Ellumbra Scam Hoax

Ich weiss nicht, ob Sie bereits über den Blog und die Videos einer Person namens “ellumbra” gestolpert sind. Sein wirkliche Name ist Tim Cumper, ein verheirateter Mann aus Großbritannien.

Sein berühmter Onlineblog ist hospitalscams.blogspot.com, welcher über seine Halluzinationen angeblicher organisierter Immobilien-/Krankenhaus-Betrüge auf den Philippinen berichtet.

Er beschuldigte seine Freundin Mayen, ihre Freunde, Tierra Maria Geschäftsführer Francis Jalbuena, Tierra Maria selbst, Tierra Maria besitzer Antonio Montinola, das Krankenhaus in Paranaque und Ärzte des Krankenhauses, Buchhalter und Rechtsanwalt, die britische Botschaft und Filipina-Schauspielerin Chin-Chin Gutierrez, dass sie ihn um Php100,000 erpresse.
Wahrheit oder reiner Wahn von Tim Cumper?

Jedenfalls ist hier eine kleine Zusammenfassung vom Geschehen und Tim’s absurden Halluzinationen:

Unser britischer Freund Tim ist verheiratet und hatte ein bisschen Stunk in der Ehe. Somit beschloss er eines Tages, sich an einer von unzähligen Online Dating Webseiten anzumelden, “DateInAsia” um genau zu sein.. Dort traf er eine Filipina namens Mayen und bla bla blaaa… *POOF* Sie mochten sich! Mayen entschied sich dazu, ihm ihre Handynummer zu geben und aus E-Mails und Chat wurden SMS und Telefongespräche.

Tim dachte, es wäre an der Zeit Mayen zu treffen und die Philippinen zu besuchen. Aber Moment! Er musste seine Spuren verwischen, damit seine Frau den Scheiss nicht mitbekommt. Jedenfalls bekam er das Ticket durch seinen Freund und Tim traf endlich sein Freundin Mayen. Er lernte auch ihre Familie, Freunde, Kollegen und selbst ihren Boss von Tierra Maria Estates kennen.

Der Boss der Tierra Maria Kette sprach mit unserem Freund Tim über die Idee, Tierra Maria Estates’ Präsenz in Großbritannien auszubauen. So dumm Tim war, willigte er ein, eine verdammt teure Tierra Maria Estates UK Homepage zu verwalten.

Nach dem ganzen “money talk” gingen unsere Turteltäubchen zu Mayen’s Provinz und dort stellte sie ihn ihren Eltern und fernen Bekannten vor. Sehr geläufig wegen unserer meist freundlichen, Philippinischen Art. Sie gingen zurück nach Manila und hatten unzählige Male unverhüteten Geschlechtsverkehr und Tim kehrte endlich nach Großbritannien zurück.

Sie hielten Kontakt durch Chats und E-Mails, als Mayen ihm berichtet, dass sie eine Eileiterschwangerschaft habe und daher Geld für die Operation brauche. Ab hier beginnt seine ganze Paranoia. Tim denkt jetzt, dass die GANZEN Tierra Maria Estates und Mayens Krankenhausaufenthalt nur ein abgekarpertes Spiel waren, um von ihm Php100,000 zu erpressen!

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Er vernachlässigte das, wofür er Verantwortlich ist und die Konsequenzen von unverhüteter Eierschaukelei. Der schwer psychisch kranke Tim hört weiterhin auf seinen “imaginären” Freund Jim und spammt das ganze Internet mit seinen Hirnlosen Videos und Schleimscheisser-Blogs zu.

Guess what people who visited me just recently? The Golden Goose Pimple came as expected and yes he told me that I have joined the ranks of the scammers. And he said pa noh na: We or I am just doing it for fun, for traffic, for friends, for fear of standing up for an obvious truth, countless reasons. All wrong daw. I am amused so here is my applause.

My question to you Mr. Shammer. If you think what we are doing is just for fun, for traffic and for whatsoever. What do you think you are doing? It is obvious that you are CRAVING FOR ATTENTION and FISHING FOR SYMPHATHIES you never deserve. At the expense of your girlfriend and the people whom you got acquainted with, and people who didn’t even know you ever exist in this world. You blind people with your HOAX stories. And don’t you ever tell me I know nothing because I spent the whole night reading your trash.
