I remember when I started using internet way back 1996, the only way to connect to the world wide web was dial-up access. The connection was via internal modem. Which was connected to a telephone line to dial an internet service provider, and folks, it was very very slow. But well, it didn’t bother me at all because I only used it for checking my emails, chat and reading news. And besides, there was no other connection available than dial-up that time.
Today, internet service providers are offering a wide range of products and services. BT for example offers a cheap broadband. They have three (3) different types of broadband packages to choose from, which I myself find very interesting. What attracts me most is Option 3, it’s a total WI FI. Option 3 is an ultimate package that includes a sleek looking Wireless BT Home Hub with BT Hub Phone and unlimited download allowance.
BT is by the way is UK’s largest broadband provider.

Ate Beng, I’m feeling the spirit of Xmas in your blog. It’s so beaaautiful - it blends well with the season.
I had a wonderful year using a dial-up. How can’t we miss the sound of “dialing tone” as you connect? How can’t we miss the “your browser is loading”… like it’s going to take forever to load.
I learned how to send an email (and that was the most exciting “online” past time) using a dial-up.
I am now on my wifi and as if I am still using a Dial-up, except that I don’t need to pay for my connections (pag may nasagap, ayos, kapag wala, kulelat).
I am purchasing a wifi-router for broadband access, kasi HK is now a WI-FIED city, so if I got this, I can now easily access internet headache-free and totally FREE.
Hehehe, oo nga naman. How can we ever forget that sweet dialing sound
. My first internet experience is very memorable talaga.
We’ve been using wifi-router since 2005 here at home. Meager ang chances mo ditong makagamit ng libreng connection dahil 99% of wifi users here are using key protection.
Aside nalang sa mga areas na may hot spots
I don’t know where to put this comment, but again, your site is awesome! I love the christmas theme!
malinesky, thanks a lot
Ooops, I forgot. Ate beng, I tagged you in my Meme#1:3 things I Won’t let Go. Thanks!
