My Name Is Gillian-Yves

Hello everyone! My name is Gillian-Yves. I turned 3 last February 2, 2006.

Mama bought me a mini cake for my birthday.

For our dinner, she prepared Stuffed Calamaris…

Fried King Prawns with Parsley and Garlic Sauce…

and as dessert, Buko Salad with Kaong and Peach…hmmm, yummmy! Take note, we had no guest…it was just the four of us, but we had fun.

Okay, let me tell you more about me. I’m a computer freak like the rest of the family. My mom was always mad at me when I used her pc, she once told me that I ruined all her work because I pushed on several buttons. Now I got a mini notebook as birthday present, but see…it is not really like the adult pc. It makes music that sound monotonous in the long run and the screen is so small and it is not colored as well. So I am sure you understand me when I’ll tell you that real pc is still my fancy, and that is why I still sneak to Mom’s desk when she is away.

That is my Ate Kathleen. She teaches me how to brush my teeth properly, tie my shoes, wear my jacket and how to operate my notebook. One thing disturbed me though, she played most of the time at it than really teaching me what to do. I think she likes it more than me…

Now that I’m three years old, my family expect a lot of things from me. Like, I should behave when we are eating. I should be quiet when we are in the church and many other things. Hmmm, I just can’t understand the world sometimes, I’m so puzzled. You see, there are things I want to do but Mom does not like it. There are things they want me to do but I don’t like it…like potty training. They thought they can trick me by giving me my milk and my doggie just to keep me remain sitted. But….

I hate it!

Really, really hate it!!! Waaaaaa…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. — Mark Twain
